Build it and they will come?

In today’s web climate, nothing could be farther from the truth. So many of our potential or newer clients have the attitude of “oh yes, we have a website – we got that covered”. When asked how many visitors they have, the answer is usually “I don’t know”, or they tell us that all of their customers love their site, the salesmen say the site is working great, we must get lots of visits, etc. But without the analytics installed that will identify how many visits, how long they stay, what pages they visit, where they are from and MOST importantly what KEYWORDS or referral sites did they come into your site with – the site is operating blindly.

Every site should be built with a targeted audience in mind. Research can be done to determine what search keywords are going to provide you with visits from the people most likely to want to buy your product or service. Your site can be structured so you rank high enough on Google to produce those qualified visitors to make your website a lead generating machine.

It is amazing how many companies are still out there today with sites that were done 2, 3 or even 5 to 10 years ago that have not been updated. Would you buy from a company that was talking about how great they were 10 years ago? Content must be fresh and relevant to your market today if you expect to compete.
Web savvy competitors are stealing away potential customers as you sit back thinking, “oh yes, we have a website – we got it covered.”

SO, what should you do? First step is to install Google Analytics on your website. It is free and very simple for your webmaster to add. If the webmaster doesn’t want to do that, their reason may be to hide the site’s poor performance! Remember, you want to be able to access the information and have it set up from your own Google account and password.

Not sure if we have analytic on our website, but we don’t have access to it. Can you add a new code under my google account? Please send me an email directly to discuss login details and exchange phone number to discuss this. Thank you
